So what’s the what about Burn Down For What®?
Burn Down For What® stands on its own as one of the last remaining candle companies that actually makes candles. We are not wax disguised to be made up scenery, or food, or states, or even unmentionable body parts. We are candles. Period.
The unapologetically real scents are made using all-natural soy wax, cotton wicks, and real fragrances, with a little humor thrown in for good measure.
Beyond just smelling good, BDFW is a woman-owned, small business based out of Richmond, Virginia (RVA). Each candle is handmade, hand poured and nose tested by a group of highly opinionated people, so you can be assured you’ll like something.
Our #hashtag is not a middle finger (as we are very thankful for your purchase) it is a PSA reminding you to blow out your candles and matches. However, it can be used as a middle finger, should it need be.

Hey y’all, I’m Molly! CEO, candle maker, RVA native, jill of all trades, master of advertising. I am a water sign who enjoys short walks to the beach, dogs over humans, and is outdoorsy in that I like drinking on patios.
Candles is both a passion and a profession for me. After being wildly disappointed by the array of aromas in the marketplace I decided to YouTube how to make candles and the rest is history.
In all honesty, birthing this small business has been one of the best decisions I have ever made. It brought me home to Richmond and allowed me to connect with customers I now consider friends through something I thought was just a candle, but in reality is something much, much more.
