This privacy policy (the “Privacy Policy”) refers to Burn Down For What®, LLC’s (“Burn Down for What,” “we,” “us,” “our”) collection and use of customer or potential customer’s (“user,” “you,” “your”) personally identifiable information, billing information, or data through http://burdndownforwhatcandles.com (the “website”).
USE OF USER INFORMATION
When you purchase something from Burn Down for What®, we collect the personal information you provide such as your name, address and email address. We also automatically receive your computer’s internet protocol (IP) address. We may use this information to send you emails about our store, new products and other updates. Burn Down for What® does not sell this data, nor do we provide it to third-parties outside of our payment processors and/ or our marketing platforms unless required by law.
If we ask for your personal information for a secondary reason outside of your purchase, we will either 1) ask you directly for your express consent, or 2) provide you with an opportunity to refuse its use. Consent may be withdrawn by emailing orders@burndownforwhatcandles.com.
SQUARESPACE
Our store is hosted on Squarespace's e-commerce platform. This allows us to sell our products and services. Your data is stored in Squarespace's data storage, databases and the general Shopify application on a secure server.
PAYMENT
If you choose a direct payment gateway to complete your purchase, Squarespace stores your credit card data. It is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as necessary to complete your transaction. After completion, your purchase transaction information is deleted from the server.
All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the security of credit card information.

THIRD PARTY POLICIES
The third-party providers used by Burn Down for What® will only collect, use and disclose your information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the services they provide to our online store. However, certain third-party service providers, such as payment gateways and other payment transaction processors, have their additional privacy policies in respect to the information we are required to provide to them for your purchase-related transactions.
Once users leave Burn Down for What’s® website or are redirected to a third-party site or application, this Privacy Policy no longer governs.
SECURITY AND BILLING INFORMATION
Burn Down for What® operates by using Squarespace as our e-commerce platform. Squarespace encrypts all payment information using secure socket layer technology (SSL) and stores it with a AES-256 encryption. While no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, Squarespace follows all PCI-DSS requirements and implements additional generally accepted industry standards.
COOKIES
Burn Down for What® operates through the Squarespace e-commerce platform. Squarespace collects and stores user information and browser information known as “cookies.” The cookies we collect are as follows:
_session_id, unique token, sessional, Allows Shopify to store information about your session (referrer, landing page, etc).
_squarespace_visit, no data held, Persistent for 30 minutes from the last visit, Used by our website provider’s internal stats tracker to record the number of visits
_squarespace_uniq, no data held, expires midnight (relative to the visitor) of the next day, Counts the number of visits to a store by a single customer.
Cart, unique token, persistent for 2 weeks, stores information about the contents of your cart.
_secure_session_id, unique token, sessional
storefront_digest, unique token, indefinite If the shop has a password, this is used to determine if the current visitor has access.

CHANGES IN POLICY, OWNERSHIP
We reserve the right to modify this privacy policy at any time. Changes and clarifications will take effect immediately upon posting to the website. If Burn Down for What® is acquired by or merged with another company, your information may be transferred or assigned to the new company, parent company, or operating company.
